privacy policy.

Effective September 29, 2026

PoetCam turns photos from your camera roll into animated stories. We built it so your photos never leave your iPhone. This policy explains what that means in practice.

The short version

• PoetCam doesn't collect data about you. There's no account, no sign-up and no PoetCam server.
• Your photos are processed on your iPhone and are never uploaded by PoetCam.
• If you search GIPHY for stickers, GIPHY receives those searches and the stickers you view. That's why the App Store privacy label lists search history and product interaction, not linked to you and not used for tracking.

Your photos

You choose photos with Apple's photo picker, so PoetCam only sees the photos you pick. PoetCam reads those photos on your device (for example, to spot faces, places and colours) to draft your vibe. On iPhones with Apple Intelligence, drafts are written by Apple's on-device model. None of this leaves your iPhone.

Looks show sample photos by default. If you tap "my pics" to see looks with your own photos, PoetCam asks for access to your photo library and reads your most recent photos (skipping screenshots) on your iPhone to fill the previews. They aren't uploaded or saved by PoetCam; if you use a look, the photos go into that draft like any photos you pick. You can switch back to sample photos at any time, and change or remove access in Settings.

Saving and sharing

PoetCam asks for permission to add to your photo library only so it can save the videos and images you export. When you choose to post to TikTok, Instagram, Snapchat or another app, PoetCam hands the finished file to that app on your device. What happens next is covered by that app's own privacy policy.

Stickers from GIPHY

The sticker panel includes a search powered by GIPHY. PoetCam contacts GIPHY only when you open that search. GIPHY then receives what you search for and which stickers you view and choose, along with technical data any web request carries, such as your IP address, and handles it under GIPHY's privacy policy. PoetCam never gives GIPHY your photos, your drafts, your name or any account details, and search results are limited to G-rated stickers. Stickers you add are saved in your draft on your iPhone.

Your drafts

Vibes you're working on are stored in PoetCam's storage on your iPhone. They may be included in your device backups, depending on your iCloud settings. Deleting PoetCam deletes them from your iPhone.

Purchases

If PoetCam offers in-app purchases, they're handled entirely by Apple. PoetCam never sees your payment details or Apple Account information.

Children

PoetCam doesn't collect personal information from anyone, including children. GIPHY sticker search only shows G-rated stickers.

This website

poetcam.app is hosted by Cloudflare, which processes basic technical data such as IP addresses to deliver the site and protect it from abuse, under Cloudflare's privacy policy.

Changes

If this policy changes, we'll update it here and change the date at the top. If PoetCam starts collecting any data, for example to understand which features people use, we'll update this policy and the App Store privacy label before that ships.
